In the Floorplan, you can mark your areas and design and experiment with the layout of your office spaces. There are two modes you can work in:
Live Office: In this mode, any changes you make are directly synchronized with your inventory. This is perfect for making real-time updates to the layout of your office and seeing the impact on your space immediately.
Drafts: If you want to explore different layouts without affecting your current setup, the Drafts mode is ideal. Here, you can try out various layouts, and when you're ready, choose to apply the changes to your live environment.
This functionality ensures you can plan and visualize office arrangements efficiently and accurately, making sure every change is reflected in your overall inventory management.
To get started working with the interactive floorplan, navigate to the ‘Floorplan’ section from the side menu. Select the floor you wish to work on and choose either ‘Live Office’ or ‘Drafts’ depending on your objective.
Add and mark areas on the floorplan
Access the areas list by clicking the area icon in the side menu.
If you haven’t added any areas, you can create new ones by clicking ‘+ Draw Area’ and choose drawing method.
Unmarked areas will show a yellow triangle next to their names. Click the name to begin outlining the area on your floorplan.
Use the four-corner or multiple-corner drawing method to define the area.
After drawing, name the area and pick a color for its representation on the floorplan.
Edit areas on the floorplan
Access the areas list by clicking the area icon in the side menu.
Click the area you wish to edit or delete either directly on the floorplan or in the list in the side menu.
Click the pencil icon, found next to the area marking on the floorplan or at the top of the side menu, to start editing.
Make your changes to the area's details or select ‘Delete’.
To adjust the marking of an area in your floorplan, simply select the area and drag the corners to your desired dimensions.
If you need to start over, pressing backspace or delete on your keyboard after selecting the area will clear the marking, enabling you to redraw the area as needed. Note, this action only clears the floorplan marking and does not delete the area's record in your inventory.
Add items to the floorplan
To place inventory items onto your floorplan for visualization, open the areas list by clicking the areas icon in the side menu within the ‘Floorplan’.
Select the area where the item is located by clicking the arrow next to its name.
For items not yet placed in a specific room, scroll down to and click ‘Unassigned items’.
Hover over the desired item and click ‘Add to floorplan’.
Default dimensions will be used if no specific measurements have been provided for the item's model.
Some item categories may not be supported for visualization, indicated by ‘Model missing. Item can't be added to floorplan.’ Contact us for support on additional categories.
Once an item is added, it will show a checkmark in the list.
Items from an area will be placed within that designated area on the floorplan. Unassigned items will be placed just outside the main floorplan space, ready to be moved to the desired location.
Remember to mark an area first if you’re planning to add items to a specific space within the floorplan.
Edit and relocate inventory on the floorplan
Within the floorplan, you can modify both models and items. For models, you have the ability to adjust details such as measurements and color. For specific items, you can edit their location on the floorplan.
Modifying Model Details:
To update a model's dimensions or color, open the side menu and find the model in the areas list.
Hover over the model and click ‘Edit Details’. Note: Only models in supported categories can be edited.
In the editing interface, update the measurements and/or color. The new dimensions will sync with your inventory data, while color changes only affect the floorplan visualization.
For additional edits, select ‘View Item’ to go to the model overview page and adjust further details as needed.
Move items:
To move an item, select it on the floorplan or in the side menu’s areas list.
Click and hold the item, then drag it to the new location on the floorplan. If you move an item to another area this will sync with your inventory data.
To rotate an item for a more accurate layout representation, select it and utilize the rotation option.
Pressing backspace or delete on your keyboard after selecting an item will clear the item from the floorplan. Note that this action only removes the item's visual representation and does not delete the item from your inventory or the area.
